Best Exercise Videos of 2015

home workoutsAs the year draws to a close it’s time to look at a few of the best exercise dvds of 2015!

Many of these on the list this year were released before 2015, but have continued to enjoy immense popularity among individuals across the country!

Here are the top 3:

The P90 System

By now a household name, Tony Horton continue to rock it in 2015 as sales of his P90 and P90x systems continue to grow.

The system uses a unique approach to exercising that involves constantly changing the muscle groups targeted with minor variations in the workouts.

Each video has a few muscle groups to which it is dedicated, but is designed to work all aspects of the muscle group, including minor muscles that are rarely a focus in most popular workouts.

This variety causes the muscle to continue to work and learn it’s new position, rather than get stuck in the same routine motion over and over again, like many workouts do.

Here’s a quick clip to see if it’s right for you:

Produced by the same company as the P90 DVDs (, T-25 is all the intensity of Horton’s P90X compressed into a series of 25 minute workouts.

Led by Shaun T, of the popular Insanity workout sessions, T-25 takes the same level of high energy workout into a routine that you can do in a space slightly larger than a yoga mat.

Released in 2013 but didn’t become popular until earlier in 2015, the Mi40x workout is another popular home workout program that will have you wondering just how good (or bad) shape you’re really in.

An incredibly intense and vigorous workout, this program is not recommended for the faint of heart, or those who are just beginning to work out.

If you’re already an avid exercise fan, however, you’ll find this challenging series incredible rewarding and worth your while!

Great New Crossfit Documentary

crossfitToday I wanted to take a minute to share a really amazing documentary of Crossfit and the process of what it takes their members to get into the most incredible shape of their lives.

For those of you who don’t know, Crossfit is an international program designed to get people in the best possible shape by creating an environment of continuous competition and excellence.

Their workout programs are designed to push you to the next level physically, emotionally, and psychologically.

Crossfit’s Controversial Approach

For many health enthusiasts, the company is polarizing, and individuals either seem to be all in and committed to changing their lives through the workout programs, or leery of the company and the potential injuries that can arise from overwork and straing on important muscle groups.

For more information, see this great debate on Crossfit injuries, which takes a look at both sides of the story, and weighs the pros and cons of both philosophies. You can also check out for more info on how supplements play an integral role.

The Documentary of Crossfit Games

While those issues often lie at the heart of Crossfit, I think it’s hugely important to get the company’s perspective on the issue, which is why this documentary is such a great resource.

Entitles, “The Test of Fitness” it’s about the creation of the Crossfit Games, both from a logistical, physical, and psychological standpoint, and it shows what it really takes to compete as an ultra-athlete at the highest level, regardless of whether you’re competing in weight lifting or any other sport.

The Best Health Documentaries

health documentariesIn addition to providing information about some of the best Dutch cinema classics, we also like to keep you appraised about other films of interest that come out worldwide.

In this post we’ll show you some of the best health documentaries around.

Superhuman: Iceman

We’re going to start off the list with an incredible tale of an incredible Dutch man.

Superhuman: Iceman, is a documentary about Wim Hof, who uses meditation and mind mastery techniques to control physical elements of his body, including his core body temperature. Famous for jumping into frigid ice pools, Wim Hof takes you on a deeper look inside the principles and practices he uses.

This documentary isn’t just about jumping into the deep end with the Polar Bear club, but how simple meditation techniques can allow us to positively influence our physical bodies, in ways you’ve probably never imagined!

The Skinny On Obesity

2015 continued to see the rise of a lot of popular health products, including supplements and weight loss products.

One of the most popular documentaries that deals with this issue is The Skinny On Obesity, which takes a look at how popular online products, such as Garcinia Cambogia and other so called “natural” products have taken over the weight loss industry, and what we can expect from them.

You can read more with this great post on the Garcinia Cambogia free trial offers from Knolpad, or see a translation in Spanish, on Donde Comprar La Garcinia Cambogia.

Digital Food

For a compelling look at the food of the future, you might want to check out Digital Food.

This documentary takes a look at the very real and prescient challenges that we, as a nation, are going to be facing in the coming decades.

As the global population approaches 9 billion (projections state that we will hit this number before 2050), we need to re-evaluate where our food comes from, how it is grown, packaged and shipped, and how changes in our food production and distribution systems worldwide will effect the climate.

This film is definitely a not-to-miss, as it raises a lot of questions about how we will handle the supply of our most basic needs, in the face of global warming and an ever-growing population.
